Humbling beginning his career with an education at the University of Lyon in Lyon, France, Farid Abboud graduated in 1974 with a B.A. in philosophy. He then continued his education at the University of St. Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, completing a B.A. in political science in 1974 and an MA. in political science in 1975. His well-rounded education was completed at the University of California, Los Angeles — or UCLA — in Los Angeles, California, with a PhD in history in 1995.
